A professional choreographer of International repute, Amrita Maitra started her career with dance reality shows like Dance Dance (Sony TV) which was adjudged by Javed Jaffery, Terence Lewis, Vaibhavi Merchant & Saroj khan and Dance India Dance (ZeeTV) which was adjudged by Geeta Kapoor, Remo De Souza & Terence Lewis where shewas among the top 5 finalists.
Her journey from a contestant to a mentor took off when she became the finalistalong with her group “Aflatoons” in Dance India Dance Lil' Masters on Zee TV which was adjudged by Farah Khan & Sandeep Sarkar followed by “Team Jalwa” the winning team in Dance Ke Super Stars under the direction of Remo DeSouza, Shiamak Davar, Master Marzi & Rajeev surthi on ZEE Tv.
Amrita recently became a guru in Superdancers on Sony Tv, adjudged by Geeta Kapoor, Shilpa shetty and Anurag Basu.
After this, there was no lookingback as Amrita went on to add another feather in her cap when she choreographed in “ Jhalak Dikhalaja” with International Footballer from Nigeria“ Chima Okeri & Krishnamachari Srikanth former Indian Cricketer” which was adjudged by Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar & Remo De Souza on Colors. This was followed by “Nach Baliye” on Star Plus where she choreographed the well-known lead couple from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Amrita also choreographed 3 movies in Tollywood which were Arshi nagar, Peeritika & Paranjoi Joliya Re.
From a choreographer to now a Stage Director & a Technical Supervisor for Non Fictions, Amrita has worked for shows like Indian Idol, Masterchef, India’s Got Talent, SA RE GA MAPA, I Can Do That, Dil Se Nache India Wale , DID Super Moms andmany more under the stewardship of Bollywood celebrities like Shah rukh khan, Siddharth Shukla, Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bhachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Farah khan, Abhishek Bacchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, Sonu Nigam, Sonakshi Sinha, Mallaika Arora Khan,Shahid kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Ejaz Khan, Kangna Ranaut, Kailash Kher, Sonu Nigam, Madhavan, Tammanna, Karan Johar, Shaan, Alka Yagnik, Monali Thakur, Farhan Akhtar, Vishal Shekhar, Mika Singh, Aditya Narayan, Kirron Kher, Ravina Tondon, Vikas Khanna, Ajay Chopra, Kunal Kapoor & so on.

Her recent projects involves Choreography for the credit song from the movie Hijack, staring Sonali Segal, Sumit Vyas and Mantra, 90 years of Essel Vision production LTD with the presence of Former President Mr Pranab Mukherjee and Mr Prime Minister Sri Narendra Singh Modi in 2019, JBL ad with Sara Ali Khan, Entertainment Director for Femina Miss India, Direction of Choreography for the movie Jayesh Bhai Jordar staring Ranveer Singh, September release for 2020. Amrita was working as The Associate Director for Dubai Bollywood Parks and Resorts, the only Bollywood theme park in UAE, from October 2018 to November 2019.
